[로스앤젤레스=테이스티캘리=폴황] 선셋 블러바드와 반 네스 애비뉴가 만나는 곳을 대체로 웨스트 선셋 맛집 거리의 시작으로 본다. 베벌리 힐스 인근 선셋 대로의 화려함은 아니지만, 최근 이곳에는 아시안 퓨전을 앞세운 식당들이 하나둘 둥지를 트고 있다.
그중에서도 시스터스 카페(Sisters Cafe)는 베트남 메뉴를 기반으로 아시안 퓨전 맛집으로 자리를 잡고 인지도를 넓히고 있다. 특별히 이 집은 패밀리 PHO를 통한 일종의 챌린지 이벤트로도 눈길을 끌고 있고, 스파이시 옥스테일 누들은 단연 시스터스 카페의 시그니처라 해도 과언이 아니다.
다른 무엇보다 이 집에 오면 서버들이 하나하나 자신 있게 권하는 메뉴 소개에 친근함을 느낄 수 있다. 그리고 메뉴에 관한 질문에 상당히 적극적이며 쌀국수가 아닌 전통 베트남 음식을 처음 맛보는 이에게 친절한 설명도 빠지지 않는다.
스파이시 옥스테일 누들의 경우는 진한 국물에 담긴 부드러운 옥스테일이 함께 나오는데 면 종류를 고를 수 있도록 했다. 스파이시라는 말이 붙었지만, 첫맛은 부드럽고 이후 칼칼함이 좀 오래 남는다. 그리고 강황 등을 섞어 튀긴 생선 요리는 특유의 비린내와 튀김의 눅눅한 맛을 잡아내 눈길을 끈다. 생선튀김은 또한 따로 나오는 면과 야채 등을 함께 싸서 먹도록 한 것도 특징이다.

In particular, this restaurant is attracting attention through a kind of challenge event with family PHO, and its spicy oxtail noodle is undoubtedly considered Sisters Cafe’s signature dish.
More than anything, when you visit this place, you can feel the friendliness in the menu recommendations that the servers confidently make one by one. They are quite proactive in answering questions about the menu and do not miss out on kindly explaining traditional Vietnamese food to those who are trying it for the first time, other than pho.
In the case of spicy oxtail noodles, it comes with tender oxtail in a rich broth, and you can choose the type of noodles. Although it is called spicy, the first taste is smooth, and then the spiciness lingers for a while. Also, the fish dish, fried with turmeric among other things, catches the eye by eliminating the unique fishy smell and the soggy taste of the fry. The fish fry also comes with noodles and vegetables, encouraging diners to wrap and eat them together.
Sisters Cafe has an interior that gives a calm yet sophisticated feel, in line with the characteristics of the West Sunset area.
